Junior Cycle

In Junior Cycle, students take the following core subjects: English/Irish/Maths/Science/Modern European Language (French or German)/History/Geography/PE/SPHE/CSPE/Religion/Wellbeing Modules

Students have the opportunity to try all optional subjects in first year as part of our taster programme. Students then chose two subjects to study in 2^nd and 3^rd year.

The optional subjects available at Schull CC are:

Business Studies / Home Economics / Wood Technology / Engineering / Graphics / Music / Visual Art

Transition Year

Transition Year is compulsory at Schull CC and we believe it is an integral part of the curriculum. Transition Year allows students to development a range of important skills and to grow in confidence and maturity. Our exciting TY programme is made up of:

Subject Sampling: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Home Economics, Economics, Business Organisation, Art, Music, Design & Communication Graphics, Engineering, Construction Studies, History, Geography
